Commissioners

Commissioners are the primary managers of the Team Leagues and they are responsible for setting up the season.

The league’s Commissioner sets up all the formats and functions within the Team League season including the teams, schedule, cost, brackets, specs, etc.

A league’s commissioner is eligible to add teams or captains, or they can allow the team’s captain to sign up and create the team themselves.

In Edit League > Commissioners section, you get the option to add, edit, or remove Commissioners for the Team League. The Commissioners section displays their name, contact, and biography.

A person can only be a captain for 1 active team per league per season.

Add a New Team League Commissioner

There can be multiple commissioners for a team league. Each commissioner has the authority to change team league details like schedule, brackets, specs etc.

To add a new team league commissioner, navigate through Team Leagues > Edit League > Commissioners:

1. Click on +Add New Commissioner, it’ll open a new section on the right – Search for New Commissioner.

2. Enter the name of the commissioner you want to add in the Search box. You’ll get a list of users who meet the search criteria (users with the same name) with the following detail – Name, Phone no. Email address, etc.

3. Search and shortlist the user you are looking for, click on the Add option present against their name to add them as the new commissioner.

   

4. On successful addition, you’ll receive a success notification. You’ll now be able to see the new commissioner in the team league’s > Commissioners section.

This method works only for users already present in the database.

Delete an Existing Commissioner

A team league can have multiple commissioners. Each commissioner has the authority to change team league details like schedule, brackets, specs etc.

However, if you want to delete a commissioner due to any reason, you can do so from the Edit League > Commissioners page.

To delete an existing team league commissioner, navigate through Team Leagues > Edit League > Commissioners:

1. Select/Search the commissioner you want to delete from the list of selected team league’s commissioners.

2. Click on the Delete (bin) icon on the right side of the selected commissioner. It’ll open a new pop-up prompt – Delete Commissioner.

3. Click on the Delete option on the Delete Commissioner pop-up window. (Click on the Cancel option on the Delete Commissioner pop-up window to return back to the Commissioners page. It’ll not delete the selected commissioner.)

   

4. On successful deletion, you’ll receive a success notification. You can see the new changes in the Commissioners page.

Deleting a team league commissioner deletes them from the league’s commissioner page, not from the League’s Database.

Add a Commissioner’s Biography

Each team league’s commissioner has a biography with their personal/professional details other than their name and contact info.

You can add and edit these biographies according to the league’s requirement.

To add/edit biography for team league commissioner, navigate through Team Leagues > Edit League > Commissioners:

1. Select the commissioner’s Biography you want to change the biography of, click on the Start typing… section. It’ll make the biography area editable.

2. Write the biography for the commissioner in the given area. Additionally, you can also design the commissioner’s biography using the given paragraph/writing tools.

   

3. Click on Save once you’re satisfied with the entered text/description. On successful save, you’ll receive a success notification on top of the screen, the commissioner’s biography will be updated. (Clicking on Reset option will reset the written biography entirely.)
